The Early Modern Research Group (EMRG) gathers University of Worcester staff and external scholars with interests ranging from medieval drama and pageantry, through to Shakespeare and the Jacobeans, from witchcraft and the devil during the Renaissance to Irish history after the Restoration, from seventeenth-century landscape poetry to the long eighteenth century in fiction, poetry and journalism. The EMRG is directed by Drs Cinpoes and Mueller.
The Green Voices Research Group provides a focus for the study of ‘green culture’, and a forum and catalyst for the discussion of broader ‘green’/ecological issues. Based in the Institute of Humanities & Creative Arts at the University of Worcester, the group brings together researchers in the ‘green humanities’ from media and cultural studies, English, art and design, and drama through events, collaborative projects and publications. The group is led by Professor John Parham.
The International Forum for Research in Children’s Literature (IFRCL) provides a focus for literary, cultural and socio-historical scholarly enquiry into writing for children, internationally. Its interests extend to broader fields, as they relate to children and childhood, including drama, performance studies, folklore, illustration and media. IFRCL is led by Professor Jean Webb.
